This is the Jolly Roger Pirate Ship Plastic Model Kit from Lindberg. It's designed for modelers ages 10 and over.
Pirate ships were usually armed private vessels commissioned by one country with letters of marque - commissions granted to ship owners allowing attacks on an enemy nation's war ships or commerce. Seamen serving on pirate ships were not paid in regular wages, but in shares of the loot taken from ships they had attacked. The greater the number of ships attacked, the more loot to be divided among the pirates.
Unassembled plastic parts come with billowing plastic sails and a spool of thread for rigging.
